| The Writer |
| Péron Fritzgerald Long was born in Rock Hill, SC on July 7th 1970. As told to him by his mother, he has always had a fascination with words and began to teach himself how to read and write at age 4 and began creating stories by the age of 6. Writing has always been a strong part of his life and he always had dreams of one day being published, but was often afraid that his work would be criticized. After taking a graduate level writing class while working on his undergraduate degree, the professor encouraged him to consider writing as a career, a suggestion that took him over ten years to consider. Since college, Péron has worked mostly in the field of Social Services, but has also worked in the film industry as a production assistant. As a production assistant, he was blessed with the opportunity to work with some of Hollywood’s greatest actors such as Ruby Dee, Richard Roundtree, Diahann Carroll and Lonette McKee, to name a few. While working in the field of Social Services, his concentration was with individuals who suffered from some form of physical disability. During his time working with this population, he designed and patented a line of clothing specifically catering to their many needs to provide comfort to some of their daily struggles. In 2003, joined by close friend and business manager Kristen J. Scott, they together formed Z-23 Outfitters. Although Z-23 is still operational, they have decided to take some time to concentrate on other ventures that include promoting Péron's first novel, as well as forming Juwania-Fritz Publishing. "If It Ain’t Right Its Wrong" is his first published novel. "Pulpit Confessions" is his first novel released by XYP! |
