Good question. As a matter of fact I know that appearance is a huge factor
(especially to men) when choosing their mates. They say it isn't but they're
lying. Most men truly want a Beyonce, Halle, Nia, and Vivica type of woman.
And let's not even talk about black men not even feeling sisters with short
natural hair (unless they're East coast brothers).
Nonetheless, there are deal breakers for me: Weight - no big poppas please,
and Height - no "mini-me's" please. And no jacked-up grills. Personally, I like
good looking men - not pretty, but handsome. And yes, I do feel that we all
want the best that we can get. Why not? But looks do matter and anyone who
tells you otherwise is blowing smoke up your....you get my drift.
In any event, what it really boils down to is two people connecting and totally
diggin' each other. Period.

There's nothing wrong with preferences whatever they are.
Because, there's no point in wasting emotions or trying to pretend to build or go
somewhere when there's no possibility. It'll backfire by being used as an excuse
later, in other words, preferences determine how individuals are compatible
with each other.
Not saying opposites don't attract.
It's like being the athletic outdoor type into social justice and so on trying to
pretend to like some one unhealthy physically and limited intellectually. Not
worth it.
I think it's important for people to be upfront. If you're short, say you're short.
If you're of certain weight, say so.
If you're happy with you then there's no reason to "not" express your dis/likes.

Outer appearance is a factor, but not the most important thing when searching
for love. It should not depend on how one's outer appearances; example
Denzel Washington is handsome, but w/o proper maintenance that our bodies
need daily(like a bathe,shave etc.), he wouldn't be so attractive.
We all are different, but sometimes in life we have to step outside our box(not
lower your standards) and date a short man or a thick women. You just never
know, they may be sent by GOD. Don't miss out on your blessing by letting
outer appearance being the most important thing.
