Now, we began anew. The USA is inclusive of all, as it should be, as it promised to
be. My son or your daughter can look to the White House and see the reflection of
themselves. It is amazing what we can do when we come together as a people. We
can change things. My prayer is that this is not the end, but the beginning of the
understanding of the power of the vote. We've changed the White House, now let's
change our community one election at a time.

Umm good question I would have to say this means maybe we will see some
change in time. Maybe with President elect Obama in office this divide that some
have come so accustomed to will be erased or if not erased it won't be so defined
in government: Democrat vs Republican, Minority vs majority. It would be nice to
see those lines

It is a very historical moment in history! I am just waiting to see what are the first
changes he is going to make now that he is there. So many things have been
overlooked and twisted throughout years. I know its not going to happen
overnight but I do believe there is a big change coming.

President Obama's win means that the United States of America can begin her
journey to live out the dreams of those who came from distant lands.
This America of the red, white, and blue, can truly be the land of liberty and
combat hate with all the love that has been poured on her in the last 21 months.
She has been crying for our attention to hear Her plea for the weary and the tired.
America's eyes are open
The blind now sees
from sea to shining sea.
Let's all do our part to put in work for Liberty's sake.

Our Black race should be happy because we will have a president that understands
not only our wants be our needs. Iam sure Obama will help all people. I am sure a
lot of whites hate he is our next president but they just have to deal with it.(We put
up with bush) I Understand more and more what it means now that what they mint
for bad god will turn it around for your good'' may the peace of god be with all of
us.

It makes me appreciate the sacrifices of the likes of Dr. King, Harriot Tubman and
the many pioneers who died so that we may witness this monumental occasion.
Additionally, this should remind all people, regardless of race, that we can truly
live as one nation, under God. Finally, no more excuses. A man of color (he is not
just a black man, regardless is said)is the most powerful person in the world. We
can achieve anything we set our minds to do. In the words of our President
elect...YES WE CAN!

I'm so overwhelmed that when I first heard the news all I could do was cry. This is
a BIG step and such an important part of History for our people. This let's me
know that slowly but surely the world is ready for change and that part of that
racial barrier is being broken. Don't get me wrong I know that after Obama was
announced President Of the US that a lot of people were upset and angry but now
they know that we (African - Americans) are people too and we're just as
important and smart as the next. Now we can have our children to hold their
heads up high and see that the impossible is POSSIBLE and that no dream is too
far to reach if they want it bad enough. It's not going to be easy for Obama or us
but we must and need to come together as people and hold each other and show
them that we stick together and look out for each other too. So many racial and
negative comments have been made and it's time to put all of this behind and
stand up together and do what's best for this country. I feel it's about time and it's
long overdue.
